This is no problem, I just tested it. We can simply move the conffiles
to tetex-extra and have tetex-extra declare an appropriate "Replaces" on
tetex-base.
I had expected that this would not be so easy and had thought the
bugreport as a reminder. Well, I can just close it with the next
upload...
