OK, so you want the script to be quiet by default, and verbose only when
-v is used (and tell that -v is deprecated, when this is the case). The
attached script does that. Also, it uses mktemp instead of putting the
temporary file under /var/lib/texmf/web2c, so that we don't leave cruft
there if the script is interrupted for some reason.
Atsuhito, do you agree with the GPL v2 license (you only wrote "License:
GPL" in your update-updmap)?
