On the system of the first one who reported that bug, the error was
earlier, namely in supp-mis.tex, where \appendtoks is defined (but at a
different definition). Now on your system, supp-mis is processed without
an error message, but the \appendtoks command is not properly defined.
Can you please send us the output of the following commands:
kpsewhich supp-mis.tex
kpsewhich --progname=mptopdf supp-mis.tex
md5sum `kpsewhich --progname=mptopdf supp-mis.tex`
ls -l `kpsewhich --progname=mptopdf supp-mis.tex`
sed -ne '65 p' `kpsewhich --progname=mptopdf supp-mis.tex`
sed -ne '637,638 p' `kpsewhich --progname=mptopdf supp-mis.tex`
Furthermore, it would be interesting to see whether the error is always
the same. To find this out, please save /var/lib/texmf/web2c/mptopdf.log
somewhere else, e.g. as ~/mptopdf.log.1, and run "dpkg --configure
-a". A new logfile will be generated, and you can check whether they are
the same with "diff firstfilename secondfilename"
Regards, Frank
