Package: lilypond
Version: 1.4.12-1
Severity: normal

-- System Information
Debian Release: 3.0

Versions of the packages lilypond depends on:

ii libguile9 1.4-22 libraries for Guile1.4 (guile, guilereadline

I tried to change font size using
\begin[11pt]{lilypond}
After that, something was broken in font generation. dvips yields
no notes in my sheet music, just thin vertical lines.
This could be a dvips bug but I think it's related to lilypond.

Here's an error snippet:

dvips: Font feta-braces4 at 8000 not found; scaling 600 instead.
kpathsea: Running mktexpk --mfmode ljfour --bdpi 8000 --mag 1+0/8000 --dpi 8000 feta11
mktexpk: Mismatched mode ljfour and resolution 8000; ignoring mode.
mktexpk: Can't guess mode for 8000 dpi devic

Note that this is not a case of lost font. kpathsea finds the feta fonts.
But mktexpk can't generate the fonts at requested resolution.

There are lots of cryptic answers but I found one solution:
Just tell dvips to use a different resolution. When I put this
in a file called ~/.dvipsrc everything worked:

o
D 600
X 600
Y 600
M ljfour

R 300 600

Description:
 tetex-base - Basic library files of teTeX
 tetex-doc - The documentation component of the Debian teTeX packages
 tetex-extra - Additional library files of teTeX
Closes: 138446 184875 273711 274868
Changes:
 tetex-base (2.0.2c-1) unstable; urgency=high
 .
   * Urgency high because the first three fixes address serious bugs.
   * Removed letterspacing.tex from orig.tar.gz because it is non-free,
     increased the version number accordingly (closes: #274868). [frank]
   * Because of the move of two mapfiles from tetex-base to extra in the
     last upload, we should have declared a Replaces relation; this is done
     in this upload [frank]
   * tetex-extra's ucf-managed configuration files were deleted when the
     package was removed, not only when purged: Fixed now [frank]
   * #273176 was not properly fixed. Now tetex-doc no longer depends on
     tetex-base, and the symlink will safely be made a directory even when
     upgrading. [frank]
   * Backport 8000dpi mode for dvips -Ppdf from current upstream (closes:
     #138446, #184875) [frank]
   * Translations:
     - added czech translation, thanks to Miroslav Kure
       <kurem@upcase.inf.upol.cz> (closes: #273711) [frank]
