Hallo Thomas,

a Debian user has found that there is a file in teTeX with a non-free
license:=20

This is still the same in the current beta, and I think it is also not
compliant to the policy you follow for teTeX.

Do you know anything about the upstream authors? I couldn't find really
recent hits for them on Google, but the most recent ones (2003 and 2001,
respectively) indicated the old addresses.

Regards, Frank

P.S. I know that you intend teTeX to be a collection of free software -
but I couldn't find anything about that on the homepage at
http://www.tug.org/tetex/. Why not include "provide a TeX system that
consists only of Free Software" in the list of your aims, with a link to
an explanation about your understanding of Free Software?

P.P.S. Robert, when I mark this bug as forwarded this doesn't mean that
I decide not to act on it for sarge.=20
