So that's not the problem. Really strange.

That's not nice of latex2html, but it shouldn't be a problem.

That's a known problem. dvipdfm is obsolete, because tetex-bin provides
it's functionality since 2.0.2. It should be automatically removed when
tetex-bin is upgraded, however we should probably cater for cases like
yours, too.

I think it helps to remove tetex-base, then dvipdfm, then
reinstalling. I cannot test this today, because to do this I would have
to upgrade in a sandbox installation from woody to sarge/sid, and I
can't do this over an ISDN connection.
