No, under no circumstances. Our upstream is Thomas Esser, who is
currently preparing a new version (which won't make it into sarge). When
the new version is released, it will contain the current CTAN version.
In the Debian Package, we won't include any updated files from CTAN. As
for the reasons, please look at the numerous "please update $x.sty" bug
reports against tetex-base/extra. And at #272560, in order to see what
can happen when we still do it (in that case license issues forced us).

You can package it as a separate Debian package, we'd be happy about
that.
