I had the same thought last night. Unfortunately I forgot to post
this morning. I guess, that will affect all packages installing
Type1-fonts and registering them using updmap. On
http://people.debian.org/~frank/ is still updmap.check to find the
affected packages. I guess the job to find them and submit bug reports
must be done before sarge, if these packages still generate files in
/etc
