Then please provide the same informations as we requested from the other
people mentioned in the bug logs.

In the original bug report, the reason why fmtutil.cnf could not be
found was that a local administrator did not accept the changes to a
conffile that dpkg suggested on an upgrade, and meanwhile we have made
the warning clearer and more pressing. 

But this cannot happen on a buildd, and is unlikely to happen in a
pbuilder chroot. In _my_ sid chroot, it does not happen.

We need to find out whether there is any reason why the conffile change
is lost, even without manual intervention.

So, please:

plus the logfile. And if the same happens in your pbuilder to you as to
Mauricio, please do the same as I told him to do.
