Ah, vielen Dank f=FCr diese Information. Ich nehme an, dass Sie als
Universit=E4tsdozent kein Problem mit English haben, daher:

I'll carry on in english, because in fact this problem was reported to
the Debian GNU/Linux bugtracking system, and I'm sending a copy to it's
archives.

Are you considering to upload a corrected version to CTAN?=20

I consider it always better that things like this are corrected on CTAN,
because it's kind of the canonical source for TeX-related things, and
it's unfortunate if some people have a different version of wasychr.mf
than others.

By the way, the license is somewhat unclear with respect to distibution
of modified versions - "public domain" is usually understood in the
sense that one can use the material to generate derivative
works. However, when you say "So, permission is granted to use and/or
distribute these files." this could be understood that you don't allow
modification or derivative works. Would we be allowed to distribute a
corrected version with our Linux distribution?

In order to allow modification, but on the other hand ensure that a
document using these fonts produces identical output on every system,
many people prefer the LaTeX Project Public License, LPPL, which
requires renaming of modified versions (of course not if the original
author makes or authorizes these modifications).

Anyway, speaking for our users I have to thank you very much for
providing these fonts to the TeX community.
