I basically agree with you but I remembered that we said
almost the same phrase just before woody's release.

At least I would admit that one could claime that what were
we doing in woody term, even if we were doing something in fact.

I feel some reasonable and practical (to some extent) design(s) of 
splitting was/were presented recently so I guess we should consider 
the issue more actively, at lest soon after sarge release.
(But personally I'm a bit negative on splitting ;)
