Following the suggestions of the submitter, I also prepared a patch for
tetex-base-2.0.2/texmf/dvips/config/config.ps. Since this is in
tetex-base, it has not yet been applied. Not that I'd weep if it
wouldn't. But it doesn't do any harm, and if it helps two more users
besides the submitter, it's worth applying. Therefore I'd keep it open.
