Bug#220871: tetex-extra: patch available for xy-pic

Hm, this sounds interesting. However, before we just say "YES!", we
would like to know a little more about this. First of all, who is
developing this, is it the original author of xy-pic? What is the
license of these files?

Can you point us to a place where the development status of these
patches (or rather replacement files, as it seems) is documented
(stable, alpha, beta...)? And can you comment on wether they can not be
found on CTAN? If they were, they would most probably be included into
the next tetex release "automatically" by Thomas Esser.

On the xy-pic mailinglist (http://tug.org/mailman/htdig/xy-pic/), it was one of the original authors, Ross Moore, who pointed me to this patch. I think the license is GPL, since the original files were published under its terms.

Hope this helps,
Stefan.
