As teTeX is just a copy of some parts of CTAN: nope it's not. It must
have existed on CTAN at any time, when the texmf-Tree of
Debian-stable was retrieved from CTAN...

Just give him the URL of the bug report. All E-Mails are archived in
it.
I've read http://cm.bell-labs.com/who/hobby/mperrors.txt.gz if the
error is described.
