Hello there - hope this is the right place to file this...

xdvi doesn't seems to like EPS-files with relative pathnames (eg.
"../figs/somefigure.eps") but works fine, at long as ".." is not used.
I've included the message dumped to STDERR when xdvi (or gs or whatever)
tries to load an EPS-file. -That is, every time I enter a page containing
one or more figures with the LaTeX command: "\includegraphics{filename}".

Btw, I'm running Sid, on an 2.4.18pre4 kernel (with preempt patch) and
with libc at version 2.2.5-3.
