Hi, I think I have spotted a bug in tetex-extra:

when I try to include tif images, I get the following error:

Error: pdflatex (file ../ausarbeitung/abbildungen/additiv_v.tif): unknown type
of image
 ==> Fatal error occurred, the output PDF file is not finished!

 reinstalling and purging the packages did not help.
 I have made a downgrade to version 1.0.2+20011202-2 and now everything works fine again.
