Looking at the list archives vor debian-tetex-maint, I found some
discussions about further or different splitting of tetex in Debian,
mostly just before woody was released. But it seems the discussion was
dropped without coming to a conclusion.
I think that issues like this bug should be considered in the context of
this discussion, there were the words "unless we have a reasonable,
good, global design." There are also license issues connected to that.
Maybe I missed something in the archives: Is there a common opinion
among tetex maintainers about the parts tetex should be split into?
