Hi, just to clarify: the suggestion in the original bug report is just that, a suggestion. When I wrote "please grep for" I didn't mean it in the: $ grep '^%%% This file is ...' /etc/texmf/texmf.cnf sense. What's needed is just a way to make sure the file won't be overwritten no matter how the user answered to the debconf question if the file has *not* been autogenerated. That question is there to set a default, nothing more nothing less. TIA, Marcelo
