RE: dvipdfm

Hi all
I have upload dvipdfmx package to ftp-master. Please test it. ;-) The new dvipdfmx depends dvipdfm because it need some cmap files of dvipdfm. I don't think it's a problem, the next version tetex should also incude those files. The new version dvipdfmx didn't include Adobe CMAPs. It can use cmap-adobe-* packages, but it doesn't depend them. So dvipdfmx package is DFSG-free now.

Yes, I think so too but only one problem was, in the current
situation, if tetex included dvipdfm without Japanese patch,
both dvipdfm and dvipdfm-cjk should be removed and Japanese
users (and Chinese and Korean users too, perhaps) couldn't
transform DVI to PDF.

And Japanese patch for dvipdfm was already obsolete and
didn't be maintained any longer so I didn't have any
intention to support Japanese in dvipdfm included in tetex.

So I want to know when dvipdfmx, which can coexist with
the next version of tetex, will be able to uploade.

I see, then please contact us if you will be able to
upload dvipdfmx.
