Then, please test

        mktexlsr
	${UPDMAP} -v
	/usr/bin/updmap --cnffile ${MAPCFG} --outputdir /etc/texmf/dvips 2> ${MAPTEMP}

that is, insert "mktexlsr" just before "${UPDMAP} -v"
