Bug#175606: Nope, that fix doesn't work ...

Still no joy here on powerpc; it hangs in uniq.

This may be of interest, though:
"/usr/bin/updmap: line 622: /web2c/mktexdir: No such file or directory".

/tmp/updm* exists: there is one /etc/tmp/updm<foo>, where <foo> is a
random sequence, which is empty. /tmp/updmap.<pid>/[abde] exist; e is a
copy of updmap.cfg, b is empty, and a and e contain lists of files. Both
/etc/texmf/updmap.d/00updmap.cfg and /etc/texmf/updmap.cfg exist, and
are basically the same. /etc/texmf/dvips contains quite a few files. I
tried the postinst fix you suggested, but to no avail (sigh).

I'm using sbuild in sid on powerpc here.
