I'm not sure but newlfm class was installed privately
(or outside Debian), right?
I don't know newlfm at all but it seemed it depended on
geometry etc. but the current geometry in tetex-extra was
changed substantially from the older version.
If possible, please test with old geometry.sty of tetex-extra
1.0.2+20011202-3
If it worked then the problem was that newlfm didn't support
the latest geometry yet.
