Well, tetex-bin in sid at present is rather old and
we are (or I am?) now preparing new tetex-* packages based
on teTeX-beta.
I'm not sure but I believe you can build these new experimental
packages.
If possible, please try tetex-bin in
http://www1.pm.tokushima-u.ac.jp/%7Ekohda/debian/experiment/
As far as I understand, new official teTeX will be released near
the end of this year. We can perhaps upload new tetex-* packages
soon after when an official teTeX will be released.
Now I could not determine if I should upload experimenta packages
base on teTeX-beta or not...
