Okay.  Few questions for confirmation.

'preinst' and 'tetex-extra.preinst' are generated from
tetex-preinst.m4 by rules.  You mean I just remove both
'preinst' and 'tetex-extra.preinst'?

And tetex-bin also contains similar preinst.  How about it ?
It also should be removed?

At least I guess

  if (-l "/usr/share/texmf/web2c") {
      unlink "/usr/lib/texmf/web2c";
  }

are inappropriate.
