if mf is a substitute for mfw and creates identical mf.ini, then
 that should be a good fix.

On the other hand, I've got an impression that alpha chroot is 
a bit broken with regards to /etc/ld.so.conf, I don't know how it
happens, but probably something else is broken as well.
