Bug#150822: How to reproduce

Here is a recipe for reproducing the bug.

apt-get install tetex.* once,
apt-get remove tetex.* xlibs
rm /etc/ld.so.conf
ldconfig

apt-get install libkpathsea-dev libxaw7 tetex-base tetex-bin tetex-extra xlibs 

will cause the error message as seen in alpha buildd.
