Re: CVS cmc tetex-bin: yadda, yadda, yadda

Atsuhito,

I sent mail to AJ and he didn't seem to think it would be a
problem.

No problem -- there really wasn't that much that could be split up
once I'd gone through all the files. I wish that we'd heard back
from more authors, but I've passed the information on to Thomas
Esser to see if he'll have any better luck (it definitely seems to
be the case that saying ``your package will be dropped from
teTeX'' is much more effective than saying ``your package will be
dropped from Debian'').

Also, I hadn't quite realized what you meant when you were talking
about bandwidth issues -- I was thinking you were talking about
downloading; it wasn't until I really read through the
cvs-buildpackage docs that I realized the script exported the
whole package from CVS! (And even then, I didn't realize just how
long that would take!)

I have to wonder if there's a better way to do things than
exporting; maybe just copying the directory and zapping the CVS
directories, or copying and having CVS update the copy. Oh, well,
maybe in woody+1.... ;-)
