The version of mathcomp.sty in tetex-extra 1.0.2+20011202-2 has
been superseded by a newer version available on CTAN.  The newer
version includes a statement that the package is distributable
under the LaTeX Project Public License, whereas the current
version does not (and is, technically, not distributable by
Debian).
