Hmm. I *did* have the problem when I installed
tetex-bin_1.0.7+20001218-4 from a deb I built myself (I would have
had -3 installed before). I edited the xdvi script as a
workaround. A few days later, the official Debian deb showed up
in testing, and ``apt-get dist-upgrade'' downloaded and installed
it. I expected to have to edit the file again, but this time
things worked fine.

The only difference I can see between my deb and the Debian deb
using debdiff is a change in the version of libc6 they were built
with. Maybe there was a glitch with the alternatives system that
was fixed on a reinstall.

Maybe we can just close the bug based on the information we have,
but it might be better if we could get the other folks who
reported the problem to signoff on the solution.
