Subject: tetex-base: pdftex option in graphicx package doesn't latex-compile
To: submit@bugs.debian.org
X-Mailer: bug 3.3.9
Delivered-To: submit@bugs.debian.org

Package: tetex-base Version: 1.0.2+20000804-7 Severity: normal

Using option [pdftex] within the graphicx package fails to
latex-compile any document (even simple articles with no figures). The
output of the error is somehow cryptic:

	> latex simple
	>
	> ...
	> ...
	>
	> ! Undefined control sequence.
        > <write> \m!systems
        > : Why not use pdf(e)TeX binaries?
        > l.59 ...!systems}{Why not use pdf(e)TeX binaries?}
	>
	> ?

Tried the same simple document on other computers (redhat systems) with
no such an error :-(

	Thanks!
