Bug#50247: might be solvable

I see but I have a bit more question. The present config.pdf sets
p +bsr.map
p +bsr-interpolated.map
p +hoekwater.map
and this seems to be for using BlueSky/AMS/Y&Y Type 1 fonts.
(Is this right? If this is true then %G might be good for
default setting, IMHO.)
Then \usepackage{times} in testit.tex make DVI to use
Times font which is not BlueSky/AMS/Y&Y Type 1 fonts.
(Is this right?)
And I compiled (LaTeX'ed) testit.tex without \usepackage{times}
and do 'dvips -Ppdf -o testit.ps testit.dvi' with modified
config.pdf (i.e. %G).
I think this would test BlueSky/AMS/Y&Y Type 1 fonts with
modified config.pdf but the ligatures are correct.
Am I misunderstanding anything?
Best Regards, 2000.7.27
