I sent the following mail about a month ago and got no
response yet.

Nobody investigated the patch? If this is a really security
problem (it almost centainly be so) I wish some fix will be done
as soon as possible.
Of course it might be another fix if the patch is problematic.
(Do I misunderstand something?)
