Bug#66024: tetex-base: New installation fails because preinst script fails for no apparent reason
Package: tetex-base
Version: 1.0.2-1
Severity: important
Hi,
upgrading to this package version apparently works, but installing it on a
system without TeX does not. dpkg complains that 'subprocess
pre-installation script returned error exit status 1' and terminates.
Perhaps the 'exit 1;' at the end of the preinst script should be 'exit 0;'?
At the very least, a more informative error message should be printed if
something goes wrong.
