Re: LaTeX Bugs and Debian
"CM" == Christoph Martin <martin@uni-mainz.de>
Christoph,
I had pretty much assumed that the reason there wasn't a more
enthusiastic (or antagonistic) response to my messages was that
people were busy trying to get things ready for potato, and that
there would be time for discussion once the release is complete.
The wait seems reasonable to me (any changes we came up with
couldn't be incorporated into potato at this point, anyway); I
just wanted to get some issues on the table.
My question is: Is there anything people can do to help get tetex
ready for potato? I know that when I was glancing through the bug
list, I saw at least one bug (#35780, a wishlist bug) that you
said you were closing that's still open. Based on the dates, it's
possible that there are also other bugs that have been fixed but
not closed.
Can you provide the tetex-maint list with a list of open problems
that you aren't already addressing (ideally sorted by importance
so we can clear the worst problems up first)? Can we do some
followup with older bugs to see if they've been resolved to the
poster's satisfaction?

You're welcome. If you'd like, I can clean it up a bit, including
translating it into LaTeX or HTML or whatever.
