Bug#783381: upgrade from wheezy to jessie on a PowerMac G4 Silver/Confirmation



I gave this a try as I'm also using yaboot. Purging mkvmlinuz solved this issue for me as well.

And now to the graphics problems :-(

I also had this problem on an iBook G4, but had not rebooted, yet. When I
started to look into it, I looked at the mkvmlinuz package page [1] and upon
reading the description, I just decided to remove/purge the mkvmlinuz package,
since I'm using yaboot as bootloader. That way, I got rid of this error, and
the configuration of the kernel package was successful. I did not have issues
during the reboot either, so at least in my setup, mkvmlinuz does not seem to
be required. I do have other issues on this system though (mainly with the
graphics card, and suspend to ram/disk), but I think they are not related to
the problem with mkvmlinuz.
