This is a known problem on etch -> lenny upgrades, see
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=501855.

Unfortunately there's no safe solution for it; your best bet is to
remove insserv before the upgrade, you can reinstall it afterwards.
Make sure that you backup your /etc/init.d/rc?.d directories and watch
out for possible missing links after inssserv is removed (see
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=475478).
