Bug#511939: upgrade-reports: on etch kernel, lenny aptitude ignores keyboard after upgrades

Package: upgrade-reports
Severity: normal

After adding lenny sources to sources.list, I upgraded aptitude and
dpkg:

# aptitude upgrade aptitude dpkg

After that, on any installation, upgrade, or removal of any package
through the ncurses aptitude interface, it becomes unresponsive to the
keyboard. I can press enter on the "Press return to continue" message,
and it updates the package list normally, but any key afterwards is
ignored; I have to use Ctrl-C to leave the program.

Rebooting with kernel 2.6.26 seems to fix this issue.

This happened first within a vserver (reported as bug #504063); since
then I was able to reproduce it on two other machines.

Thanks a lot,
Wagner
