Bug#503728: System not bootable after updating packages
After performing the upgrade on 12-10-2008 18:40 (CET),
I have updated my system on 27-10-2008 22:00 (CET).
This update contained a new kernel, and seemed to complete
successfully. However, rebooting the system failed, as it stopped
after loading the boot image. It looked something like this:
LILO 22.8. Loading linux...............................................
..................................................................................
...........................................................
LILO
The strange thing is that after loading the boot image, the letters
LILO were displayed.
So I ended up with a non-bootable system. I have no idea how
to fix this, besides reinstalling Debian from an install cd.
Aad
PS The reason I use LILO instead of GRUB is because I have
upgraded my system from Debian 3.0, which used LILO by default.
