Hi there. I want to know how the cooperative model of software
enhancements and corrections works in debian, so
here i go with some (stupid) questions:
Supose developer D maintains the package P, whose original author is A.
Then a user reports a bug in P.
So D reproduces it and notes that it's an error to be fixed in the
program's source code.
In that situation, what D have to do ?
1) Fix the source, rebuild P and upload it to SID ?
2) Do (1) and then send a patch to A ?
3) Send a patch to A, then wait for A to publish the new fixed version
of the program, and then build P from his sources ?
