Also is it correct I should type "knoppix 2" at > the boot prompt? > > Regards, > Zach Thats a good question I do not think it matters 2.6 vs 2.4 as far as running lilo is concerned and yes knoppix 2 at the prompt that just puts you at a root prompt when booted if you go to the GUI then put sudo in front of each of the commands to run them as root in a Konsole window.
