Hi,
last weekend I installed my new ThinkPad X60s with debian/etch.
Here a small installation report:
- i used the netinstaller iso images with an external usb-cdrom drive
and .. nearly everything just worked.
Things that failed to configure correctly:
- the Intel 945 Graphics adapter, is in etch completely supported including
DRI, but after installtion X is configured to use VESA.
- WLAN with the ipw3945 doesn't work (the reason are clear to me)
- sound doesn't work, the Intel HDA is correctly detected but it seems the
kernel 2.6.16 has a bug. In 2.6.17-rc6 audio works normally.
- suspend to ram isn't supported for SMP systems with kernel 2.6.16, after
changing to 2.6.17-rc6 suspend to ram also works.
