In later server (r3.0) have 5 threads of "named" running, And in a new install (r3.1) only one... thats the trouble or the question.
I don't find nothing about it... over google.
In messages/syslog.. no error when startup service.

Thats my configuration:
Linux server 2.6.10-ac12 #7 SMP Thu Apr 14 10:22:13 ART 2005 i686 GNU/Linux
bind9                         9.2.4-1           

In the FAQs 

Q: Why do I see 5 (or more) copies of named on Linux?

A: Linux threads each show up as a process under ps.  The approximate
number of threads running is n+4, where n is the number of CPUs.  Note that
the amount of memory used is not cumulative; if each process is using 10M of
memory, only a total of 10M is used.
