Bug#311309: woody -> sarge upgrade, ssh disconnected me halfway

This is a pretty serious breakage, but unfortunately this will be
difficult to reproduce from the package list alone.

Before embarking in a wild goose chase, how did you install woody ?
Here what is the expected message:
Setting up netbase (4.21) ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/protocols ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/init.d/networking ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/services ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/rpc ...
However netbase postinst script does not do anything that could break
the network, and I don't expect a network breakage to cause the
typescript to be truncated.
Do you have a firewall installed on this box?
