When upgrading from woody to sarge I received this error:
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libgtk2.0-common:
libgtk2.0-common depends on libgtk2.0-0; however:
Package libgtk2.0-0 is not configured yet.
dpkg: error processing libgtk2.0-common (--configure):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
I am the maintainer of the gnome2.2 backport for woody, and this upgrade
was from a machine with the gnome2.2 backport installed, however there
were no other errors or conflicts reported (ie, the above is the ONLY
error reported).
Thanks,
Jamie Strandboge

This bugs is due to a circular dependency in libgtk2.0-0, reported as
bug #309604.
One of the work-around is to use aptitude dist-upgrade instead of
apt-get dist-upgrade. This will be mentionned in the release notes.
I am closing this report.
Thanks for your upgrade report!
