Re: Installation problem
Hello,
i just downloaded the dvd-sarge-image, burned it and tried to install.
At boot prompt i typed:
--> boot: linux noapic
the installation started, i selected language, keyboard an cdrom
installation.
Everything went right until i wanted to load the installer-modules.
After choosing some modules with cdrom-retriever i got an error message that
a
module couldn't be retrieved.
So i started the computer again and did not choose anything, just pressed
'q' to continue.
I got the same message again, but with a different module.
After that i searched the debian-testing archive on lists.debian.org
and noticed, that others had the same problem, but i couldn't see a
solution.
So here are the infos you might need to trace the problem:
ERROR MESSAGES:
--> retrieving the module netcfg-dhcp failed for unknown reasons
(comment: in my case in german)
--> anna's postinst exited with status 1536
On console 4 it says:

I used the item 5 (verify the cd content) to check the DVD but there were no
errors reported.
So i think all archives have the correct checksum and it does not matter,
that it said 'text/plain'
as file format for every file i downloaded with jigdo.
