Mozilla 1.2 positively screwed

Bugcount so far on mozilla 1.2 in unstable, rated from really obnoxious to just generally annoying:

1)

Observed behaviour:

Mozilla will no longer start two different components (fx. mailer and browser) from the shell or from the kde panel. Once you have invoked the first component, if you try to start another you will get the profile in use message.

Expected behaviour:

In Mozilla 1.1 and previous versions, when you clicked to start the second component it would just use the already open process to open a window with the new component. Note that using the -remote option is not a sollution because you don't know if a component is already started, and mozilla used to do this automagically.

2)

Observed behaviour:

In Address Book the personal addresses folder contains the collected adresses!

Expected behaviour:

The collected adresses should be in the collected adresses folder.

3)

Observed behaviour:

There is no way to set mozilla to write plain text only messages. Every time you reply to a new message it starts up as a html message and you have to go into the options menu and select plain text email.

Expected behaviour:

In all previous versions there was a preference setting that would set mozilla to write plain text emails every time.

4)

Observed behaviour:

Changing from html email editing to plain text editing does not convert the edit area text to plain text. Even though the html toolbar disappears and you are actually editing ordinary text, mozilla still keeps all formating and typesetting of the email.

Expected behaviour:

Changing to plain text editing should remove all typesetting, fonts should be converted to a fixed width font and graphical quotation should be replaced with '>' characters.

5)

Observed behaviour:

Editing html replies that has been converted to plain text is generally broken. Inserting replies into the quoted sections is difficult because the typesetting is screwed up. If you delete a major portion of the quoted text all the way to the end and try to move the cursor down using enter, a new quote bar appears bellow the cursor and further linefeeds are added below this quote bar.

Expected behaviour:

You would expect editing an email would be fairly simple.. When you hit enter the cursor should move down to the next line and so forth.

Hope any of you can confirm these problems. I'm about ready to delete mozilla from my system though I have no idea what browser to use instead.

Also I am using debian unstable with KDE 3.0.4.
