A while back, I had a similar problem (bug #107601), but I was unable to get to the bottom of it. Do you use x2x or x2vnc ? I have a nagging suspicion that they were responsible for my problems. In the end it sorted itself out, but only *after* I asked to have the bug closed due to lack of diagnostics. Soon after the laptop died (apparantly a worn-out screen cable?), and even though I'm running basically the same set-up now I have not suffered from that problem anymore... -- Karl E.
