php4 in testing

hi, i'm new to testing, and i cannot get php4 to work at all. when i 
uncomment the line in apache to load php4, i get the message:
"Cannot load /usw/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so into server: libexpat.so.0: 
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

i have libexpat1 installed, version 1.95.2-2.1 installed, thats what 
apt-get installed for me. are there any workarounds? i really need this 
to work. anyone on this list use php?
