Testing Frozen
Am running frozen with Accelerated X 5.0.3 plus upgrade patches,
Matrox G400SH, kernel 2.2.17pre3 with raid patches, and Helix Gnome 1.2.
Accelerated X needs the patchs with Gnome to prevent crashes.
Had a SCSI bus error on upgrade, replaced the IBM DCAS with a DDRS
and all seems well. Am receiving mail about ddns.cron.pl & ndc.cron.pl
"no such file". I believe this error was related to the SCSI crash.
Helix Gnome is much more robust then the October release. No problems
with Potatoe other then the above. Rock solid so far. Machine stays up
24/7 on a DSL line. Firewall & Masquerades for a three machine net. It
is also an NFS server (4 disk raid5).
