Bug#576242: gdb: Please support Renesas SH(sh4)

Source: gdb
Version: gdb_7.1-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch
User: debian-sh4@superh.org
Usertags: sh4
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-superh@lists.debian.org,yoshii.takashi@renesas.com

I am now trying to run Debian on Renesas SH(sh4) CPU.

gdb FTBFS on SH4.
Because gdb does not support Renesas SH on native.
checking whether <sys/syscall.h> has __NR_tkill... yes
checking whether ADDR_NO_RANDOMIZE is declared... yes
checking compiler warning flags... -Wall
-Wdeclaration-after-statement -Wpointer-arith -Wformat-nonliteral
-Wno-pointer-sign -Wno-unused -Wunused-value -Wunused-function
-Wno-switch -Wno-char-subscripts
checking for cygwin... no
checking for ELF support in BFD... yes
checking for X... no
configure: error: "*** Gdb does not support native target sh4-unknown-linux-gnu"
make[2]: *** [configure-gdb] Error 1

Yoshii-san ( SuperH Kernel Hacker, I add in X-Debbugs-CC ) made patch
to support SH.
This patch does not support all functions, but the basic part works.
Could you apply this patch?
